I am a youth coordinator/storyteller who makes the academics come “alive” and meaningful through creative drama and thinking outside the Box of Tradition.
 

EXPERIENCE

• Arts Horizons: Teaching Artist – creative drama/storytelling for the Summer Success Wraparound  Program sponsored by the New York Board of Education Region 7. 
• Network of Biblical Storytellers: Developed and facilitated workshop “Think Outside the Box and Color Outside the Lines” using classic and  contemporary literature, poetry and rap to make the bible come alive.
• Studio Museum in Harlem: Develop and perform interactive children's storytelling programs for pre K – 6  to coordinate with quarterly changes of exhibitions. 
• New York Public Library: Storyteller at various branches for pre K- 8.
• First Central Baptist Church: Developed and facilitated 3 day workshop “Back To School With Jesus” for parents and caregivers to encourage a holistic approach to a child's physical and religious development. 
• First Central Baptist Church: After School Tutorial Program: Tutored math, coordinated literacy program and enrichment activities for grades 1 – 6.
• 2002 Verizon Children Book Festival: Storyteller for ages 6-10.
